Membership - Membership is open to certified school nurses and those interested in school nursing in Pennsylvania. PASNAP has several classes of membership:

1. Active - School nurses and practitioners certificated as school nurses by the Pennsylvania Department of Education. An active member shall have as their primary assignment, the administration, education, and or provision of school health services. Active members are entitled to full membership privileges.
2. Associate - Any registered professional nurse who is not eligible for active membership, but who provides full-time services to a school. Associate members have all the privileges of membership, except the privileges of voting and holding office.
3. Retired - Any school nurse who is a member of PASNAP upon retirement and upon notification of their retirement to PASNAP. Retired members have all the privileges of membership, except the privileges of voting and holding office.
4. Lifetime Retired - Any member who wishes to become a lifetime member upon notification to PASNAP and payment of a one-time fee.
5. Student - Open to anyone enrolled in a professional nursing program to meet requirements to become a school nurse or a student not currently a nurse in a professional nursing program. Students have all the privileges of membership except the privileges of voting and holding office.
6. Member at Large -Any persons who possess a special interest in or who are working with PASNAP and who do not fit into any other classification. Members at Large have all the privileges of membership except the privileges of voting, holding office and serving on a committee.
7. Corporate , Business, Professional Organization Members - Persons or organizations who desire to support the goals of PASNAP and whose members are not eligible for Active or Associate membership. These members have all the privileges of membership except the privileges of voting, holding office and serving on a committee.

Dues - PASNAP has a unified membership with the National Association of School Nurses and a combined dues structure. When membership application is made and dues are paid to NASN, membership to PASNAP is automatically included. For a list of dues for each type of membership, go to Join/Renew below.
